The Role of Love in Leadership incorporating Eurythmy

Fri, 8th December, 2023 from 10:00 AM, in London

We invite you to our last face to face event in 2023, closing off the year with a session exploring the role Love plays in Leadership and organisational life.

Jeremy has been exploring this topic for a few years now and would like to open up the exploration with as many of you as possible.  The word itself can create all sorts of reactions and the substance of Love itself can be both provoking and revealing.  Perhaps one feels it has no place in organisations?  Perhaps one might feel it engenders a sense of too soft, too cuddly?  Perhaps it can expose other fears?  Perhaps it can enhance the sense of real safety and empowerment?  Perhaps one might believe it is essential if organisations are to ensure genuine wellbeing of their employees?  Whatever is provoked by the word “Love” and its substance, we would love (!) you to come and explore with us, whilst at the same time closing one calendar year and preparing for the next.

Jeremy will be accompanied by Daniela Kreimer who is developing an expertise (amongst many others!) in Eurythmy.  This is an expressive movement art developed by Rudolf Steiner which is also used for anthropological education and sometimes therapy.  The word eurythmy stems from Greek roots meaning beautiful or harmonious rhythm.  We will learn and have some fun with this mechanism during the workshop which might lead us to some insights about how we take our work and our leadership further.

Daniela is a manager, coach, educator and facilitator in the Changemaker Companies team of Ashoka Home | Ashoka | Everyone a Changemaker, with whom Jeremy has had the privilege of working and learning from for about 8 years.  She will be coming to London from Switzerland especially to run this for us.

We will be running the event in one of our old favourite locations The Amadeus Centre near Paddington.  Formal activities will start at 10am and go on until about 4pm although we will break for a simple shared lunch.

As you know, Sadler Heath is a not-for-profit organisation and we only hope to cover expenses with the contribution we ask for.  Nobody gets paid anything (we all come on our learning edge) but we simply need to cover the cost of our accommodation and immediate expenses, and a small surplus covers our accounting and website costs.  We hope you will be OK with contributing £60 towards this and bringing a small lunch with you to share.  Of course, even if you cannot afford this please do register for the event, just let Jeremy know, and come anyway.
