Love and be loved in organisational leadership

Fri, 18th July, 2025 from 9:30 AM, in London

As people committed to your own long-term personal development we invite you to join Lindsay Wittenberg and Jeremy Keeley to your event in July.

As counter-intuitive and counter-cultural as it may seem, we believe love is slowly starting to become recognised as a factor in effective leadership and high-functioning organisations.  In his interview on the subject (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8OmfX_5JA0) Jeremy himself talks about leading with love and what that looks like in practice.  At the World Economic Forum in January 2018 Alibaba founder and Executive Chairman Jack Ma said: “To gain success a person will need high EQ; if you don’t want to lose quickly you will need a high IQ, and if you want to be respected you need high LQ – the IQ of love.”  In 2023 Helena Clayton, at the Roffey Park Institute, published a report entitled ‘Leading From Love’ in which she suggests strongly that love matters for leadership.

This workshop invites enquiry into:

  • Where you might stand – and where you might want to stand – in relation to love and compassion, through the medium of systemic constellations
  • What love offers in the context of leadership
  • What love might look like in practical terms in relation to leadership
  • Love in the context of vertical development

Lindsay has been a member of the Sadler Heath community for many years.  She is a developmental reflector and executive coach, bringing to leaders psychological safety that enables enquiry and change.  She loves working with curious leaders juggling complexity, pressure and high stakes. The psychological safety in her coaching relationships and facilitation of psychological safety programmes underpins both greater awareness of self and system, and enquiry, engaging with the hidden or risky, difficult, confronting questions that unlock fertile thinking. Through in-depth developmental reflection she looks to nourish leaders to make the impact and the difference they want to make to the world: they achieve a profound sense of who they are, creating change that sticks.

Jeremy is a co-founder and moderator of Sadler Heath, very interested in the whole topic of love in leadership and loving kindness in organisational work.

The event will be at our normal London venue, The Amadeus Centre in Maida Vale.

As usual it will be experimental and experiential and will include a light breakfast.
