‘”an exploration of the extent to which we embrace our vulnerabilities and

celebrate our personal authenticity and power”

Many of you will know Pattie Horrocks who has run some fabulous events for our group over the years and also moderates the Lewes Sadler Heath community in Sussex. I am thrilled that she has agreed to come and join us again, this time to bring some of her thinking, interpretation and passion for the work of Brene Brown, the American social researcher – this promises to be both a challenging and deeply nourishing morning.

The essential theme underlying Brene Brown’s work is that we are all hard wired for connection with others, and the extent to which we are able to connect is intimately linked with our relation to our own vulnerabilities. She suggests that vulnerability is not an option, it is something everybody feels from time to time; what is an option is how we relate to and manage our reaction to our vulnerabilities.

In this workshop we will seek to apply some of her ideas to our own lived experiences, and explore how  courage, connection and compassion can help us in living wholehearted lives and developing our sense of personal authenticity.

This workshop will be led and facilitated by Pattie and moderated by Sue Holland. We will start promptly at 09.00 (with drinks and pastries available from 08.30) and wrap up by 12.30. Lunch will then be available for us.

For those of you who are new to Sadler Heath, we encourage you to learn a little about it before you come by reading the information on the website about the principles that underpin our events.
